STOP HERE. YOU FOUND YOUR LENS!

I bought a Sigma ART F1.8 18-35mm about 4 months ago and it has easily become my main lens. I've been a portrait photographer for about 2 years now and crisp and clear images are everything to me. Initially I use a Canon EF 85mm lens but I was looking for a wider lens and was familiar with the 18-35mm from Sigma but never had the courage to make a big purchase. BOY I was wrong to wait so long. The moment I decided to just make the decision to buy this lens, my life became so much easier. This is the PERFECT lens. It's super sharp and the autofocus is out of this world. I can't give less than 5 stars because that would be a shame for this lens. This is every photographer's dream lens and since I bought it it has not only improved portrait photography with new perspectives but also allowed me to shoot all my music videos with it. I usually go for 24mm, but the versatility of this lens makes it much easier to shoot from farther or farther away. In addition, it is attached to the gimbal. (MOZA AIR 3) However, this lens is very heavy, and since I shoot with a battery grip, it becomes much heavier. That's the only negative behind this lens, if, as expected, you want to consider it a negative at all. The motors are quiet and the autofocus smoothness is insane. Sometimes I let the autofocus do its job because it's better at dealing with moving subjects than I am. However, if you want to use manual control, the autofocus wheel will be buttery smooth. From now on I will not buy anything else but Sigma ART lenses. In my opinion they are better than Canon lenses and CHEAPER.
