Five-pound dumbbells are a good, light, appropriate weight for helping to heal an injury. (Me: baseball player with torn rotator cuff injured while not playing baseball.) You don't have to be an athlete like me to benefit from using simple dumbbells like these as part of your injury healing regimen. Just "listen" to your injury, increasing the intensity and range of motion in your workouts slowly and gently.IMHO these dumbbells are a nice choice. They're well-made, inexpensive, color-coded, and clearly marked with their weights.
