These are not professional brushes. I would say they are good for beginners progressing to an intermediate level of drawing. The brushes move smoothly across the canvas. The bristles don't fall out. They also don't hold paint, but that's okay because I work with wet paint types, so I don't mind dipping more often. Their material is not as good as the old Royal and Langnickel that cost many years ago. This is a good introduction to the variety of finishes and price range. This is not for serious artists creating a masterpiece. I love the selection of brushes in this set. I look forward to using them all to play around with new color sets and styles as I learn to work with different mediums. They are good for art students who do not do complex and time-consuming work.
