I am a computer scientist/database specialist. I don't use this for gaming or color calibration work. I got it when the pandemic hit and I knew I would only move to laptop-based remote work. I used two 24-inch desktop monitors in the office, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of buying two separate screens for home and either adapting them to my laptop's single HDMI output or upgrading to an additional one. via a port replicator. This monitor solved the problem. It was wide enough to give me the space I'm used to working with, but all I needed was an HDMI port from my laptop. I was happy with this monitor. Nice clear picture, very reliable, easy to set up. It's just personal preference, but I don't like the stripes on the back that glow red when the monitor is in use. I sealed them with black electrical tape that is barely visible.
