Review on AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: Unlocked 6-core Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler for Desktops by Jeff Rubio

Bent pins, very disappointed

I've read a lot of reviews and things like that on the internet confirming the processor's capabilities, so when I had money I decided this was a good upgrade for my 2600x. The processor may be dead on arrival as many of the pins are bent in different directions, likely due to poor handling and shipping. To be honest I am furious after waiting for a product that is barely out of stock and finally grabbed it, it may not even work. Will update once I have time to switch processors and see if it works. Edit: The pins weren't damaged beyond repair, so I had a trusted techie straighten them, and they lined up perfectly again when inserted into the CPU socket. I upgraded it to one star, but this is still an issue with the product. The problem is mainly with reusing the 2600 and 3600 box (they just changed the printed numbers/words). These CPUs came with a slightly larger cooler that held the CPU firmly in place, but they replaced it with a slightly smaller cooler, but didn't fit/modify the box, so the CPU holder slipped around. This combined with shipping makes it quite possible that your processor can get DOA if it travels long or moderate distances, especially if it's not handled with enough care, which to be honest none of them do. Edit: Added product photos before detaching the pins.
