These tips (those are tiny silicone condoms that you slip onto the tip of an Apple Pencil that probably cost $0.10 to make and package) definitely increase the friction, which is what happens when the Pen control helps. Unfortunately for me they added too much friction to emulate what can be done with a pen or graphite on paper. I still use them every now and then - when I get too frustrated I take them off and go back to the bare tip for a while. The handpiece cap did not fall off during use, which is a positive. I am sure that the quality of development will improve with experience and I hope that the manufacturer will offer an updated version in the future. I wouldn't buy them again but don't expect a need as they come in packs of 8.
