These sponges may be a little more expensive than your regular kitchen/bath and all-purpose sponges, but they easily outperform their counterparts by two to one, if not more, and that's the biggest plus for me - and why I researched them for kitchen uses - is that unlike non-antimicrobial sponges, they don't release odors for a long time. I don't endorse any specific brand, just one type of product. However, it is good value for money
