Luckily for me, I read the reviews and ordered a half size larger than my usual size. I usually wear women's 9 or men's 7. I ordered women's 9 1/2 and still they are barely enough for my feet. And whoever says Velcro is insufficient is right. They should be about an inch longer and maybe a little wider. Although I am very disappointed with the quality I decided to keep them because I need high top shoes to protect my ankles on a scooter and this will do.
