I recently decided to upgrade the speakers in my 2018 Tacoma double cab while keeping the stock radio. I bought a pair of 6x9 component speakers and while installing the door woofer was a breeze, installing the in-dash speakers was a hassle. The OEM dash tweeters only have about 1.5 inches of slack in the wiring, so they cannot be pulled out far enough to connect the wiring for the new tweeters. To compound the problem, the OEM tweeter is plugged into a small base. / Crossover with cable input from receiver and output to bass. So since I didn't know how to splice wires and didn't want to pull new wires from the receiver, I got stuck. Then I saw these tweeters at Revain. I recommend these speakers in combination with a good pair of 6x9 bi-way speakers as an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your receiver Tacoma front speakers.
