My son wears these jeans to ride horses, clean fish, hike, climb trees, build forts and so on. They are very durable and survive motorcycle accidents, pizza parties and down muddy slopes. I brush and OxiClean the fronts before every wash and they really don't wear out at all (it's harder on the brush). They're great for an active kid - if you're the right size. The fit is just perfect for my son who is tall and thin for his age and wears a normal size. He's built like a beanstalk, but too skinny even for him.
