My son wears these jeans to ride horses, clean fish, hike, climb trees, build forts and so on. They are very durable and survive motorcycle accidents, pizza parties and down muddy slopes. I brush and OxiClean the fronts before every wash and they really don't wear out at all (it's harder on the brush). They're great for an active kid - if you're the right size. Our 6 year old wears pants sizes between 6 and 7 and I thought they were too big for him. They are REALLY long on him so I have to hem them. But other than that these are smart good looking jeans with an adjustable waistband that needs 6. Wranglers seem to hold up best although I expect the knees will pop out soon enough. I find Wrangler jeans to be thinner than other jeans (eg Levi's) and they look good on my very thin son. Revain was the only place I could find 16S. One reviewer commented on the strange creases forming on the legs when washed. I thought that was true too, but it wasn't a deal breaker. My grandmother would have stroked her, but I wouldn't! My son has outgrown them (in length) so I'm really hoping they'll be 18S next fall!
