They look and work as advertised: like a camera with a red flashing light. This is at room temperature. But I need to install them in a very hot place outside. Electronics can fail at high temperatures. If they fail I will try to update this review. It uses two AAA batteries. I wish it would use big AA batteries; I think they might fit. AA batteries have a much higher capacity so I don't have to change batteries as often. If I think of updating the review I'll add how long the batteries lasted. The photo shows the wiring inside: a loose resistor between the battery compartment and a blinking red LED. It's low voltage, so you shouldn't get electrocuted. But what sloppy wiring!
