I will say right away that I am very satisfied with this purchase. I have to admit I was skeptical about how this adapter would work and the picture quality I would get. I originally bought this adapter because I recently bought a Macbook Pro with Touch Bar. I'm a professor at a local college and used my previous MacBook Pro for many lectures and presentations with a VGA to HDMI adapter connected to a projector in the classroom. I almost never used my HDMI adapter because the video freezes intermittently during the video stream, which was very annoying when showing my lectures and/or presentations to students. So basically I stuck with my VGA adapter which made the projector image grainy. First of all, the convenience of having VGA and HDMI in one is my first plus point when it comes to this adapter. I didn't realize how cumbersome it is to have two separate adapters for my lectures until I bought this adapter and now I only have one adapter for both types of video displays. (Now if only there was a VGA to HDMI cable) The adapter is made of high quality material which makes me happy as I am pretty aggressive with my gear. It was easy to use and connect. It even came with a nice felt storage pouch to protect the adapter when not in use. This is where I became a bit skeptical about the product. I did a "test drive" with the HDMI port and can believe the quality of the image streamed from my laptop to my TV. The picture on my TV looked like I was watching a movie straight from the TV. The quality was amazing. I can't wait to give my first presentation using this adapter, especially trying out the HDMI connection. Overall I am very happy with the purchase of this product and would recommend it to anyone.-CM
