Review on Portable Super Antenna MP1DXMAX with Low Profile Tripod: Covers 80m-10m HF and 2m VHF with Go Bags for Amateur Ham Radio Use by John Reese

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After tuning it worked great on several bands!

Even as a beginner in amateur radio, I found this antenna very useful! It took me a little while to figure out how to put things together, but one day I found that I could transmit on 80M, 15M, 10M and up with SWR around 1:1 with a little trial and error to get it right. With both the SWR meter and the one built into the IC-7300, there wasn't a single frequency where I couldn't get the ideal 1:1 measurement. In some bands the tuning range is very narrow. So you need to tweak it a bit if you want to keep the stable SWR and band hop. Especially for 80M. Within 10 minutes of its opening, I could walk on 15M and hear calls from Seattle, New Mexico, Texas, New Jersey, Alabama, Florida, etc. It was great!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
