We had to replace the plastic trough we had because my horse has a big butt and keeps slipping in it. This one seems heavier but smaller. Horses love it and because it's a lot smaller it's easy to clean. It's much easier to clean than the old one. You can just scoop the water with any debris and you're done. Others are so large that they have to be removed and emptied for cleaning. Stainless steel on this one looks like it will hold up well. Because it's smaller, we can install it in a corner so the "big ass" doesn't hit it and bend it. We've been using it for 2-3 months and so far we're happy.
