Review on High-Performing Satco 100Q JD 100 Watt Halogen Bulb: Exceptional Brightness and Energy Efficiency by Mary Beauchene

I have tried replacing them with expensive LED lightbulbs in some of the burned out Minka Aluma ceiling fan bulbs. Waste of money to buy LEDs. These halogen bulbs are much brighter. There's a domed cover over the headlight, but I went with the matte anyway because others said the clear was too harsh. Very happy with the purchase.
