We have a Sirius XM Onyx radio with a car mount that originally came with the NGVA1 antenna. It worked fine initially, but after a little over a year the signal deteriorated to the point that the signal disappears when you drive under a tree. Compared to our other Sirius XM vehicle on the same roads, this indicated a problem with the antenna, not the satellite service itself. I don't know if it was the Florida sunshine or if the cable was stuck in the tailgate, but our old antenna was worn out. I bought it from Revain to replace and we haven't had any signal issues. because the. I can't unequivocally say it's better than the NGVA1, but it certainly gives us full power even under the trees. Let's hope the durability gets better, but time will tell. If you have a Sirius antenna that isn't giving a good signal even under clear skies, try replacing it with this one and it should get better.
