I've used similar anchors that weren't stainless steel and some of them were prone to rusting - they didn't. While they don't all fit neatly into the grooves on my bed rails, they hold up well enough. Not sure if my fit is due to my splints or wrong choice of anchors, but I doubt it's a manufacturing issue - they're all the same and clean.
