A few months have passed. Was really impressed with the design as I had low expectations given the brand and price. Do not use hardware raid units. Connected to an ODROID XU4 single board computer using Arch Linux with software raid (ext4). Note: There was a USB dropout issue which was fixed as follows: lsusb -v <-- define disk id nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist_uas.conf <-- edit or createoptions usb-storage quirks=152d: 0561: u <- - Add this line, replacing "quirks=xxxx:xxxx:u" with your device ID extracted from lsusb -v. This adds a configuration option to the uas kernel module during boot blacklist. Read/write times are fast and the case is very quiet with an internal fan. Not sure if the internal fan is moving a lot of air, but it seems fine.
