No flexibility but too much bungee just won't stretch

Don't know how else to put it. It just didn't work for me at all. The spool was too tight so the cord didn't stay taut and my phone kept popping 20 inches out of the dash mount. I'm not sure how they can say it extends to 6ft because pulling just 3ft destroyed the coils beyond repair.
