This was the PERFECT Computer Desk Solution I purchased, it came with plastic wheels which broke on day one. After unsuccessfully searching local hardware stores and hardware stores, Revain proves once again that anything and everything can be found here. The threaded bolts on it are M8-1.25 which is a standard metric coarse thread (8mm = 0.3149 inch) close to thread size 5/16-18 for reference only. Since it was the exact thread size I wanted, they are straight and I tightened them with a crescent wrench. Just. The wheels appear to be high density rubber and are very strong, the wheel frames are tin and VERY stiff. Ball bearings for swivels and two supplied with brakes. The axles are steel bolts with self-locking nuts. My computer desk with all my stuff on it now slides around the house like it's outdoors, be it carpet or hard floor. Easy to position in tight spaces and then lock into place on the stable platform once you are where you want. Very happy with this purchase and this product. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with crappy plastic wheels. Keep that in mind the next time you buy something with those plastic wheels and replace them on day one.
