Works and looks great. Easy to assemble and made of good plastic materials. I have an old mid 2014 MacBook Pro Retina display and it worked great. It's very bright at 100% brightness, which is good. I typically use its 5% brightness at night and around 60% during the day next to a bright window and I have no problem with sunlight coming in from outside. It comes with all the HDMI cables you need. But since I wasn't sure if this would work with my old MacBook, I got myself an HDMI cable to the display port and it worked great.
