No new device, good playback quality, hissing microphone

First of all, I received what appeared to be a refurbished device. The earplug elastics were new but the neck block was scratched with a ballpoint pen - transport could not take place. Playback quality was pretty good, but the microphone hisses and leaves a high-pitched digital sound when replying to WhatsApp. My previous Sony headphones, also Bluetooth, didn't have any of these issues with the same phone. I would not recommend this device and now I understand why a device that costs &gt;$130 sells for &lt;$30.
