That's it, a rustic natural wood shelf. So it has the disadvantages that come with it; The individual pieces of wood are actually slightly bowl-shaped and have hardly any distortion. The finish is rough with a grainy feel on the front, top and sides, the underside is almost untreated and feels very rough. The mountains are beautiful, completely hidden. I mounted one side in the wall stud and the other with the wall plugs provided to give me more security and they appear to be securely attached to the wall. Given the very slight warping of the wood, I had to use a rubber mallet to get the shelf flush against the wall. If I were to pay 2 or 3 times more for a quality finished shelf the above would be unacceptable but these shelves look decent and perform as advertised. They look strong enough to support reasonable weight and work well. All in all very good value for money when you know what you are getting.
