If you don't have a little kitten, this thing will tip over faster than a house of cards once your cat touches it! Carpet is REALLY good for scratching, seems durable. But if you don't want it to just sit on the floor (like me now, and my cat shows ZERO interest in it because she doesn't "bend over"), I suggest a larger size that will at least stay on On the spot or even make your own as the only things that should keep it from slipping are basically half inch black rubber bands on either end (which also slip off easily, I might add). This thing will probably come back depending on how much pain it's going to come back.
