I've had cardboard cat scratching posts which cats love but they make a terrible mess after a while. They're wrapped in a carpet-like short fiber material, and cats love them just as much without the mess. I have 2 sizes.

I thought it would stick to the wall better or maybe I could glue it, it has a rubber base but as soon as the cat gets the claw it falls over I have two cats, one cat, although lying on the floor, will try to scratch it, and the other didn't touch it, now I still have to buy a cat scratching post

Great product at a low price. The rug is of good quality and is well attached to the item, but you must ensure that the side with the rug glued to the counter is facing backwards so your cat cannot rip the rug off the counter. There are rubber stops at the top and bottom to keep the stand from slipping off your cat. This is a big plus that wasn't well explained in the listing. The only downside is that you have a big cat. Then you need to use the larger/wider rack from that manufacturer.

If you don't have a little kitten, this thing will tip over faster than a house of cards once your cat touches it! Carpet is REALLY good for scratching, seems durable. But if you don't want it to just sit on the floor (like me now, and my cat shows ZERO interest in it because she doesn't "bend over"), I suggest a larger size that will at least stay on On the spot or even make your own as the only things that should keep it from slipping are basically half inch black rubber bands on either end…
