I bought this mug before and everything was fine Then I bought two more. I think they switched the material to cheaper plastic or used an inferior sticker adhesive. The huge sticker on the mug is very difficult to remove. I managed with great difficulty to peel it off, but the glue residue remained. So I got out the lemon oil I usually use to clean off glue residue. It was a disaster! The lemon oil appears to have damaged the surface of the plastic, making it cloudy. I then tried to remove the veil with medical (isopropyl) alcohol. It didn't remove the veil, but it did remove part of the seal on the cup! Moral of the story - DO NOT BUY THIS MUG! The sticker is huge and ridiculously difficult to remove. Common solvents that can be used to remove adhesive from stickers will attack either the plastic itself or the printing on the cup. My earlier version of the same mug didn't seem to have this problem. They either changed the glue for the stickers or switched to a different cheaper and less durable plastic. If they just say "plastic” without saying what kind of plastic, like acrylic or polycarbonate, to use for such an item, it means that it is a cheap plastic, unsuitable for the purpose. And the last problem is a ridiculously large non-removable sticker!
