The plastic got a little cloudy when I put it in the microwave

Maybe the info on the Revain page said it wasn't microwaveable, but if it was I would have skipped it and had it not done bought when I had read. I put it in the microwave to heat the water for the hummingbird nectar and the measuring cup showed clouding/etching in a few places. It hasn't melted, but it's not the same. I am very disappointed in this. However, it pours well (my Pyrex over $$ doesn't). I'll have to swap that out soon.

Marking is easy to read; hard to remove sticker

This is a handy, clearly labeled measuring cup. Although it's made of thick plastic, it's lightweight because it's small. The pointed end of the spout creates a nice fine spray when pouring slowly. The 4/5 rating comes from the slightly shorter than expected handle and the tacky sticker with strong adhesive. I was able to remove it with WD-40 Rust Release Penetrant Spray and other solvents like Goo Gone will probably work as well. Since this mug will be used for cooking, I just used a drop of…

Non-food plastic - beware!

You get what you paid for - cheap! Did you notice that the bottom doesn't say what plastic it's made of? No recycling symbol with number? Who knows what that plastic is, but it's not food safe. The first time I used it I made a lemon tart that used lemon zest as one of the ingredients. I rubbed the outside of the lemon and put it in a cup to measure out. I left it there for 20 minutes while I prepped the rest of the ingredients. As I was about to add the lemon zest, I poured it in and noticed…

DO NOT BUY THIS MUG

I bought this mug before and everything was fine Then I bought two more. I think they switched the material to cheaper plastic or used an inferior sticker adhesive. The huge sticker on the mug is very difficult to remove. I managed with great difficulty to peel it off, but the glue residue remained. So I got out the lemon oil I usually use to clean off glue residue. It was a disaster! The lemon oil appears to have damaged the surface of the plastic, making it cloudy. I then tried to remove the…
