Lights flash when fan speed changes

I used to buy $25 versions of this switch for my fans. I didn't like them because they sparked internally and changing the fan speed caused electrical noise and other lights flickering. Well these switches, which I thought were an updated version of the same type, do exactly the same thing. Every time you change the fan speed the fan lights will flash brightly. I put LEDs in the fan and even if they are dimmed it seems like the camera is flashing when the fan speed changes. Without this needless disappointment they would be perfect.
