My plastic collection tank was damaged when the reverse osmosis membrane was installed and tightened. The damage occurred because the reverse osmosis membrane cartridge did not have a centering feature that would guide the end of the reverse osmosis cartridge into a molded retainer within the end of the plastic receptacle. This failure resulted in damage to the interior of the holding tank, a loud vibrating noise coming from the node as it regenerated, and questionable proper filtering. The manufacturer kindly replaced the damaged holder, but I still had to insert the cartridge and guess if it was properly centered. I must have done everything right, because the device works perfectly. Be very careful to insert the cartridge correctly.
