Replaced previous GE diaphragm with this week although inlet water quality stayed the same at 40, initial TDS went up to 3 previous diaphragm was 1. Still works, but less quality

I upgraded to 100 gpd from 18 gpd which lasted longer than the 12 month warranty. The best process. If you are having trouble aligning the filter to the back of the housing, you can use the handle of a wooden spoon inside the filter to guide it into place. Will buy from American Membranes again.

This product destroyed my GE filter housing. The end of the o-ring was not seated properly and deformed the plastic when tightened. I recommend avoiding this membrane unless you have an AMI filter housing. I ended up replacing the filter housing and installing a GE membrane and my system is working great again.

The manufacturer of our system recommends changing the membrane every 2-3 years so I ordered one last year and there are enough filters to last this year switch. I thought it was made in the USA and not the cheapest so it must be good. The TDS meter showed the water was 18ppm with the old filter and after replacing all the filters it was 52ppm! I have been using AMI membranes for almost 10 years and I am always satisfied with them. My tap water has a TDS of 557 and after the membrane it drops to 13. That's a 97.66% failure rate! Yes, they cost a little more than others at Revain, but they're worth it. I use this for my 150 gallon reef tank and the DI resin lasts 4-6 months. I once tried a cheaper membrane to save some money, but it only ended up with a 90% failure rate (marketed as >96% failure), resulting in me burning my DI resin

My plastic collection tank was damaged when the reverse osmosis membrane was installed and tightened. The damage occurred because the reverse osmosis membrane cartridge did not have a centering feature that would guide the end of the reverse osmosis cartridge into a molded retainer within the end of the plastic receptacle.
