Salomon make solid shoes. They're not cheap, but they have molded insoles that offer extra support. The Xa Pro 3D Pro is a great shoe as long as you don't end up with a defective model like I did. The left boot had a crease or nick just above the midsole and kept digging into my foot, making the shoe unbearable to wear. It should be noted that the right boot had no defect and was on top. I had to send a few back for a refund. Unfortunately, the Revain was sold out for my size, otherwise I would have gladly exchanged it.
