My son and I have eczema and during the midwestern winter months I spend a lot of time getting our humidifiers on properly. for a nice compact size and placement/presentation options in the room. However, this is completely inaccurate. When I compare to other products that say the room temperature is at least 5 degrees cooler. I tried it in different places in every room of the house. My parents have a "weather station" they paid a few hundred dollars for, and it monitors both their home and outside, and it's incredibly accurate. I asked them to take them home for a few days/nights and again the accuracy went down at least a 5 to an 8. I decided to return them and will invest more for better accuracy. If you're looking for "baseline" and aren't too picky, this might be for you. And sometimes a basic idea of temperature is enough.
