Review on Lightweight Pneumatic NuMax SP123 with Ergonomic Design by Brandon Woodson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not perfect, but not overly expensive either

I bought it almost 2 years ago and it worked perfectly. I've seen reviews where the reviewer complained about weak hitting or sticking. In my experience, using good quality pens (I use Hitachi) and lubricating the tool eliminates these problems. I don't use this on a daily basis in a production environment. I usually use this to prevent movement when gluing. It has no touch safety, only a manual safety. This makes it easier to place the pin accurately - if you're thinking of removing the trigger guard. It shoots the pins flush very easily and is too easy to sand down to expose the pin. Another 1/64" depth would be a big help. Maneuverability can be slightly improved by tilting the air coupler inlet.

Pros
  • Nailed: This pneumatic nail uses 23-gauge headless pins from 1/2" to 1" and features a lightweight and durable aluminum body, an ergonomic handle, and a reversible strap. Hook and trigger with a safety mechanism to prevent accidental firing.
Cons
  • Not sure
