Best size for travel but not sure about filtering out extra heavy contaminants.

Planning a trip to India, I learned that air pollution is outrageous and quite often the AQI reaches dangerous levels. I've researched feverishly to find out how to protect myself. As well as buying cloth masks to wear when walking outdoors, I was also looking for something that wouldn't take up too much valuable space in my luggage and could filter the air in the room I'm in. The Wynd air purifier seemed like the best choice without having to pack a large air purifier separately in your own suitcase. Arriving at New Delhi International Airport, I knew immediately that I had to use every air raid shelter I could get my hands on after taking my first breath. Average AQIs (as listed in the appendix) hovered around 250-300, which is in the "very unhealthy" range, and sometimes spiked into the "dangerous" range several times - hooray! When I first arrived at the dorm, I installed an air filter on my bedside table and connected it with an adapter. The air inside constantly smelled of soot but I find the Wynd air purifier helped a bit and at the time I would take any quick steps to clean the air. Not surprisingly, after 3 days I removed the air filter inside the air purifier and found that the filter was quite dirty - after only 3 days! (See my video) I kept the air filter next to my bed so at least the space next to me can filter out some. I'm not sure about the scientific basis for this, but I think it helped. My next trips were to Dehradun and Rishikesh, India, and although the pollution level is lower than Delhi, it's still in the 100-150 range. Air Quality Index, so I've been using the air purifier constantly in those places too. Will I only use it at home to purify the air in the bedroom? No, I would invest in a larger air purifier that has more air filtration capacity in addition to the particulate filter and UV air treatment element.
