I've owned this laptop for about a year. What surprised me from the start was how slow it seemed out of the box. So I cleaned up a lot of Lenovo bells and whistles. It helped for a while. I used this laptop mainly for work but also for gaming. Some heating issues so if you want to buy one, get a good fan. Now unbearably slow, slow to the point where basic functions like loading an excel spreadsheet or god forbid two open system resources take up. And most of the day I need access to spreadsheets. It's quite awkward when your boss asks for numbers and he says he can come back later because of the loading time. I'm no PC expert but I follow best practices and with every Windows update this machine really starts to suffer. I know this is a mid-range product that I didn't buy a workstation for, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes to load the OS. Now I get frequent errors, corrupted files, system instability. And a lot of working time is wasted. Lenovo, I think you just inspired me to never use Windows again. My next purchase will be either a Mac or a Linux workstation.
