I bought these boots hoping they would provide better protection than reverse flared boots. They looked great, held up well and held up great. But after a few weeks of use, I noticed her sores were worse than before. Both in a larger diameter and in a more open one. So you didn't "protect" enough. I went back to bell boots. They wash great and maybe another horse that doesn't bend as much as my mare would do as well, just not for her.
