I bought and installed this for my sister who lives in Arizona. Inkjet printers tend to dry out and clog in dry climates, so a color laser seemed like a better idea. The only thing that came with the printer was a sheet of pictures explaining how to unpack and install it. I figured out how to use the internal screen and menu system to do the basic settings. At first it seemed to work fine, but the first colored tourist map showed very bad colors. I downloaded the PDF user manual to find out how to diagnose the problem. There was extensive troubleshooting information. Both cyan and yellow were poor on the print quality test page. The original recommendation of shaking the toner cartridges was a definite improvement, but the current solution required removing the developer unit and imaging kit. I didn't want to go that far, but I got stuck. Once this is done, everything now works correctly. The printer then ran fairly quickly, and I noticed a very slight odor, which is a common complaint with color lasers, including my own.
