I have very thick hair (not to complain at all), but actually a haircut can be both frequent and expensive. Since the only reason for frequent haircuts was thickness, I was looking for an in-between haircut option just to keep my haircuts in order. This thinning tool is just amazing. I can easily distribute the thickness evenly throughout the hair and still keep the exact previous cut. I keep my hair clean and this allows me to keep it thin and actually pretty cool. Anyone with very thick hair will tell you that summer can get pretty hot. Again, I'm not complaining, being a man of years I could easily go bald, I'm sure. But it's nice to have thick hair. Either way, for those who want to thin their hair between cuts and reduce the need for bi-weekly or monthly haircuts. This tool can do it for you. I was just starting to use it when I got it, but I think if I use it once a week I can reduce my weekly or bi-weekly haircut need to a once-a-month haircut and still keep my style and look with no issues . Even after one use, I can run my fingers through my hair and feel the hair underneath attach and thin out, making it feel thick but thin. As silly as it sounds, I liken it to one of those dog brushes that remove the undercoat without cutting the top layer of a dog's coat. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great thinning tool. It also pulls a lot less than any thinning brush I've ever used. The two-way option gives you the opportunity to do thinner and thicker hair. I use the wide open side for much shorter sections and the closed or less open side of the blade for thicker hair so I don't pull out clumps and just thin them out when brushing. It's amazing and I'm very glad I bought it. The blades are vintage barber blades, reversible and interchangeable.
