I bought this because my old GoPro float pole split a seam and started absorbing water. This swimming stick is made very differently! It floats, but also has a compartment in the handle! You can put money or something small in it, screw it up and hold air, and it's also waterproof. The stick is a good thickness for the grip size. I was concerned that it's black and would get lost in the water, but as soon as it pops up the camera shuts down and the stick pops up showing the orange top so it's pretty easy to find. It also comes with a wrist strap, which is convenient and useful. Very happy with this product! And since it can't just open up and suck up water, I think it will last longer than my previous one!
