Review on Robot vacuum cleaner Neato Botvac D85 by Barbara Ratyska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

This robot does its job very well. An apartment of 50 sq. M cleans in 30 minutes, while there is still 2/3 of the battery charge. There is a funny function of lifting the body, thanks to which the device "crawls" over the thresholds (I don't have thresholds, so it climbs onto the floor scales in this manner))). Navigation copes well with its tasks, the robot was lost only a couple of times during the year. Of the shortcomings: - the hole in the garbage compartment does not have a valve, so there is a high chance of spilling dust; - very annoying sound signals. Removed the container - exactly 90 seconds later. starts yelling loudly "put the container back!", and shake it out and clean the filter for 3-4 minutes. The container is clogged - it starts yelling until you clean it. The signaling is clearly ill-conceived; - a side brush for cleaning baseboards is of little use, since all the dust on the baseboards accumulates on the upper edge, which is 4-5 cm from the floor, and not 10 mm from it, where this brush is installed. Alas, the designers never seem to have seen the usual plinth; - restrictive tape (for example, she had to enclose a rubber wedge for the door, which the robot constantly tried to pull out) only dark brown (and my floors are light) and non-self-adhesive, I had to put it on double-sided tape. But in general, the machine is useful, saves a lot of time and keeps the house clean. I think I’ll also buy a robot for wet wiping the tiles, then it will be generally perfect.

Pros
  • Good cleaning and navigation quality
Cons
  • Not quite well-thought-out sound signals, does not clean baseboards well.
