Review on Turbo Shaft IND FG 500 by Arbortech by Devin Jirsa

I am writing this review primarily about the turboshaft functionality. I feel like the photos can be a bit misleading, as well as the fact that other reviews don't really tell you anything about the tool itself. So here is my brief overview. If you are buying this tool to carve wood and make carved letters as shown in the photos, then this is not your magic solution. The tool has threaded heads on the sides of the shank end. For example, to carve the letter O, you must first drill through another tool or large drill and create a hole, then use that to cut out the innards. It doesn't cut from the end of the shank but from the SIDE of the shank end when that makes sense, more in line with the router. I bought this because I thought I would use it to carve wood and it's no good. You really have to play with the angle of the shank to train it for the area you want to carve. This is a good tool, but you still need to combine it with other tools.
