Two photos... completely different images. The first photo shows an ugly picture with scratches... but the second of the brackets is beautifully presented. No advertising (but should only give 4 stars out of 5) - the top of the temples is covered with a whitish protective plastic layer that contains ugly scratches. You can't tell it's a non-permanent coating without examining it and trying to remove it. Luckily the coating has come off and they look nice and shiny. This is probably a mount for light to medium duty applications... the quality of the drill holes could be significantly better, but that doesn't detract from the use. I wouldn't use them to secure a chair or anything else that can support a lot of weight (like 30-50+ pounds) but works well for my purposes to reinforce a damaged bottom corner of a new cabinet.
