Manifold to engine plate is 3/8 inch thick, thicker than factory; for tightness and a secure fit. The stock photos are incorrect. The converter features welded front and rear heat shields. The factory top and bottom heat shields are bolted on normally (with a little persuasion). On my Camry SE 2.4 L 2007, all fasteners fitted perfectly, no problems arose. The delivery department is a joke. They filled a box with plastic balls and threw in a heavy steel converter with disks and cubes of heat shields. Only 8 balls made it. Have you never heard of Styrofoam or high-density paper, anything but thin-walled bursting balloons - what a joke. The manifold gasket is all that is included, NO nuts, bolts or exhaust pipe gasket. The manifold gasket was hit badly with a steel hammer but could be used with due care. You might want to have a plan B for pads. Loved the converter, quiet and very well made.
