I bought this to use with my Canon 80D. I have another Sigma zoom that takes great pictures and I think it will live up to my expectations for this experience. It's a heavy lens, so you'll have trouble shooting out of your hand, and you'll almost certainly need to use a sturdy tripod to get sharp images. I mounted it on a carbon fiber tripod and it worked great. Can't comment on durability yet as I've only had it for a few days but the lens comes with a well padded case in the box which should protect it well. There's an extra strap that can be attached to the tripod ring if you want to carry it that way, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars now is the focus issues, which may or may not be a lens flaw, and how it lives up to Canon's claims. I couldn't get the autofocus to work reliably when shooting in the environment. I need to carefully reread the instructions that came with the lens and double check the settings on my camera body and then attempt to photograph some wildlife both from afar and up close. wonderful addition. Because it has such a large front lens (95mm), UV filters can be expensive. It was great to have one available now to protect the lens even if I decide to buy a better UV filter in the future. Two San Disk 64G SD cards were a big bonus and the Vivitar backpack is very flexible and can be configured for many different hardware layouts. I'm not sure I'd want to try a monopod with this lens, it's too big, but a monopod would be a good option if I'm shooting with smaller lenses. I'm not yet sure how to use the Sigma dock to adjust the lens, but it would be nice to have a way to fine-tune without having to send the lens back to the manufacturer. In general, this is a good buy for a quality lens from a reputable manufacturer. I'll update this review after I've had a chance to do some serious field testing.
