My husband smokes so I bought this because the smell is everywhere. I've heard good things about ozone generators so I decided to give this one a try. It has a lot of good stuff. The timer is great so you can set it and then leave the area and it will turn off at the specified time without having to re-enter the room to turn it off. I also like that it comes with a hose that can be used to purify water (although I haven't used it for that). For me the only downside is that there aren't enough warnings that you have to use it in a PERFECTLY CLEAR SPACE. This means people and pets stay away for the duration of the device and then at least an hour after it is turned off to allow the ozone to dissipate and convert back to oxygen. Prolonged breathing of ozone can cause permanent lung damage, so no one should even think that a little is okay. This fact should be reiterated several times in my opinion so people don't miss it. It removes odors very well, including smoke, and is safe when used properly. People just need to be aware of the security issues and use them accordingly.
