The shelf is solid, as is the mounting, but there are some design issues. The screws used to attach the bracket to the wall surface are of extremely poor quality. Phillips sockets can also be easily removed with the right-hand screwdriver. I also pre-drilled holes to minimize friction. I had to replace it with a higher quality product from a hardware store. The shelf leans forward a little. It appears to be from the rear screw that attaches the shelf to the bracket. It uses a spacer between the shelf and the bracket that creates an angle. However, the spacer cannot be removed as the screw is too long to attach the shelf to the bracket. Used for an all-in-one printer that weighs almost 5 pounds less than the maximum weight of this shelf. However, the mounts flex a bit, further adding to the tilt. Note that the tilt is minimal - maybe 5° - but still annoying. My car is not at risk of slipping.
