We were looking for a way to clean up the TV area. We hung the TV on the wall a few weeks ago, but we still had shelves for Blu-Ray and Roku. I looked at other wall shelves at some local stores but didn't really want to pay the prices they were asking. When we saw this shelf at Revain we discussed it and decided that we didn't need a heavy shelf for the two items we wanted to put on it and this one would do. This is NOT the mount I ordered. A few years ago I ordered one which I have reviewed below. Great little mount. I use it to mount the scanner above the table in the medical exam room. While not sure I would sit on a shelf, it seems large enough for moderate workloads such as a laser printer etc. Easy to set up and set up. Highly recommended. I clicked the reorder button but what I got looked similar but the platform was only 75% larger (too small for the flatbed scanner I was about to install).

The shelf is solid, as is the mounting, but there are some design issues. The screws used to attach the bracket to the wall surface are of extremely poor quality. Phillips sockets can also be easily removed with the right-hand screwdriver. I also pre-drilled holes to minimize friction. I had to replace it with a higher quality product from a hardware store. Actually I've already bought two of these. The second time was literally pure coincidence, it actually sat in my closet for 1 1/2 years before I decided to open and use it. When I opened the box for the second one and realized what I had bought I was very disappointed but perhaps was hoping for a better experience. This is a great looking projector stand. It's also fairly easy to install and feels solid. But unfortunately the included screws are very cheap and easy to remove. I still recommend this shelf but plan to buy four new, better quality screws from your local hardware store. This shelf is wonderful. The tempered glass looks great and the polished steel is a nice touch. The glass leaves fingerprints on the underside, but that's not a big deal as you probably won't touch it again after installation.
