I chose this voltmeter for my golf cart because I liked the on/off switch (so I plugged it in), the backlit display, and the ability to toggle between battery percentage and voltage readings. Rather than crashing into the dash, I made a face out of plastic to fit in what I think is space for a radio that the gauge can fit. The counter is small but easy to read. I tested it on another voltmeter and it showed within 0.1 volts. With reviews criticizing it for fluctuating readings under acceleration, think of it as an instant MPG reading and an average MPG reading in your car. As you accelerate, Instant MPG drops, then levels off as you coast. To get an accurate reading of your batteries percentage or voltage, test it while sitting still without draining the batteries. Great deal for less than $15 IMO.
