Installs quickly and easily. It took maybe an hour including the recommended disinfection process. This house is by a well and the water pressure is very unstable, so sometimes only enough water went into the ice machine to make two or three ice cubes. A glass of chilled water was out of the question. No longer! This pump turns on and delivers a water-filled ice maker in 4 or 5 seconds when the valve is open. A cup of water takes about nine seconds. It makes a certain noise when it turns on, but only turns on for five seconds or less when the ice maker is full. There was no problem with the water filter in the fridge not working properly. For reference, I installed a new filter before turning the pump on for the first time.
